Before and after gynecomastia correction in a 59 year old man. In mid-life, he had accumulated excess fat and breast tissue in his chest. He had “moobs”!
Male breast development is a common occurrence in “MAN-opause” – the male equivalent to menopause in women, where there is less natural testosterone production and increased fat deposition.
Ultrasonic liposuction (UAL) permanently removed excess fat and breast tissue from his breasts, the sides of his chest and his armpit area in an outpatient procedure.
Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery. Much of his swelling is gone; it will take up to a full year for his final, final results.
