Before and after liposuction of the neck region in a 27 year old man. He was extremely fit and on a regimented diet. He still had “baby fat” under his chin that he wished to contour, since all his hard work at the gym was not helping!
In-office liposuction of the neck, chin and jawline was performed under local anesthesia and a mild oral anti-anxiety medication. He did not need to go to the operating room since it was such a small area to treat and he felt comfortable being awake but numbed for the procedure.
Approximately a half cup of fat was removed, permanently! Two small 2 millimeter incisions were hidden under his jawline to perform the liposuction. Follow up photos are shown at three and a half weeks after surgery. His jaw contour has already improved dramatically, although he still has a mild degree of swelling. This firm swelling called “edema”, takes up to three months to completely resolve.
He no longer immediately looks to his neck area in selfies and photographs of himself. He feels his jawline now reflects his fit, muscular self and he looks forward to the final, final result!
