Before and after neck lift/lower face lift, also known as the MACS lift, in a 63 year old woman. She felt her neck made her look tired and much older than she felt on the inside.
A MACS lift (minimal access cranial suspension) lift re-suspended her deep tissues (the SMAS) of the face and neck from a low-sitting, drooping, aged location to a higher and more youthful position. This created a lifted but natural look to her jawline, without a tightly-pulled appearance.
Follow up images are shown at 3 months after surgery. She resumed all her usual activities at one month after surgery. She is thrilled with the appearance of her neckline!
Her incision at 3 months can be viewed on the MACS lift page – it looks subtly pink at this early stage of healing. Her scar, which resides just in front of the ear, will continue to fade over the next several months and become nearly imperceptible with time.
