Before and after MACS lift with liposuction of the neck in a 64-year-old woman. At the same time as an upper lid blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), she wanted to improve the appearance of her neck – but NOT to look pulled too tight or have an obvious looking result.
A MACS lift (minimal access, meaning short scar – cranial suspension, meaning lifting the soft tissues of the face upward) procedure also liposuctioned out a significant amount of fat from her neck region. At the patient’s request, her jowls were not lifted too highly, as she specifically wanted to look like her “real age” and did not mind having mild jowls.
What bothered her most was her redundant neck skin and the obtuse angle her jawline had. Every Plastic Surgery procedure we perform is individually tailored to each patient, considering their particular anatomy and their specific aesthetic goals.
Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery, with natural looking results and maturing scars. She is very pleased with her results, and that none of her coworkers immediately recognized she had had “work done” when she returned to the office.
