Before and after MACS neck lift in a 49 year old woman. She had tried the injectable medication Kybella under her chin years ago and felt her neck looked worse than before. She was looking for a more permanent solution to restore a more youthful look to her prematurely aged neck.
A MACS lift removed fat from under her chin, known as the submental region, using liposuction. The deep tissues of her cheeks that were descending downwards – creating early jowls – were resuspended upwards in a vertical direction, putting the soft tissues were they were previously when she was younger. A minimal amount of skin was removed. Her scars lie in a natural crease in front of her ears and under her sideburns.
Follow up photos are shown 7 months after surgery. The final image shows a close-up of the scar that is still maturing and fading – the final result often takes a full year or more.
