Before and after MACS neck lift in a 71 year old woman. Like many of our patients, she traveled from out of town for surgery. She was still working full time and felt like she looked much older than most of her colleagues.
Her goal was to improve the look of her neckline and get rid of her jowls! She sent us pictures of her neck in advance of a formal consultation for an initial assessment. Surgery was planned remotely, and she traveled to see us in San Francisco a couple of days before surgery for her in-person consultation and preoperative appointment.
A MACS (minimal access cranial suspension technique) lift removed fat from under her chin and re-suspended the soft tissues of her neck upward, effectively eliminating her jowls. This technique provides a natural result where patients, both men and women, do not look pulled too tight or “overdone”.
She stayed in the Bay Area for a total of three weeks after surgery. Early follow up photos are shown just 16 days after her neck lift surgery. She has very subtle bruising and swelling of her cheek and neck skin. She feels comfortable returning to work and is thrilled with her neckline!
