Before and after liposuction of the neck in a 59-year-old woman. At the same time as a breast revision and body contouring procedure, she wanted to improve the appearance of her neck, but she was not ready for a full neck lift. Since most of the fullness under her chin was excess fat, she was a candidate liposuction of the submental region to improve the contour of this area.
Liposuction removed nearly a full cup under her chin. After surgery, she wore a compressive chin strap for several weeks to limit swelling and encourage skin contraction. Long-term follow up photos are shown 2 years after surgery. She is happy that she staved off a neck lift for many years!
