Before and after liposuction of the neck in a 54-year-old woman. She had lost a significant amount of weight and felt like her lower face had aged more than the rest of her body.
She was very busy at work and did not have the time needed for a full neck lift recovery. She was happy to learn about liposuction of the neck as an option for her to do now, with less downtime than a MACS lift.
Liposuction removed excess fat from under her chin and her jowl region through two teeny incisions. After surgery, she wore a compressive chin strap until the bruising completely resolved (two and a half weeks).
Long-term follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. She may still consider a lower facelift/MACS lift in the future, but for now, she is satisfied with the improved appearance of her neck!
