Before and after liposuction of the neck in a 56 year old woman. She wished to have a more defined jawline with the least amount of downtime.
In-office liposuction of the neck was done under local anesthesia and an oral anti-anxiety medication. A full cup of fat was removed from her neck and chin regions via a single 2 millimeter incision under her chin. She wore a compressive chin strap for two weeks after surgery and worked from home for the first week after her liposuction procedure.
Follow up images are shown at 3 months after surgery. Her neck is improved, and while she still has very mild loose skin, she has avoided a neck lift at this stage in her life. She is more comfortable posing for photographs and no longer immediately looks to her neck in pictures and in the mirror!
