Before and after earlobe repair in a 64 year old woman. Only her right earlobe piercing had become stretched out, possibly due to years holding the phone to her right ear at work and from wearing heavy earrings.
Now that she was retired, she wanted to wear earrings, especially studs again, without them falling out of her stretched out ear piercing! She also had psoriasis of her earlobes that caused flaky, dry skin – as seen in the before and after images.
Her earlobe repair involved repairing the old piercing and re-piercing her earlobe at the same procedure, just 1 millimeter beside her old piercing so that it was a fresh hole. This was performed in the office under local anesthesia.
Early follow up photos are shown 6 weeks after surgery. She wore a small hoop earring for the first 6 weeks after surgery and just changed her earrings today to smaller dangly earrings. She is very happy with her results!
