Before and after breast augmentation in a 30 year old woman. Smooth, round silicone gel breast implants were placed in the subglandular plane for a full, youthful but natural looking result.
She was fit and muscular and did not want her breast implants to interfere with exercise or her usual activities. She also did not necessarily want anyone to notice that she had surgery (a sentiment echoed by many of our patients).
She was so happy to learn that implants placed on top of the muscle have a much faster recovery time, much less pain and swelling than implants placed under the muscle, and that she would not have an ugly animation deformity when she flexed her pectoralis major muscles.
Follow up images are shown at one year postoperatively.
