Before and 6 weeks after breast augmentation and correction of nipple position in tubular breasts using smooth round silicone gel implants. Note the breast shape is rounder, fuller and more natural after surgery. A periareolar mastopexy moves the nipples and areolas to a higher, centralized and more youthful position and decreases the large areola size.
The breast folds are lowered, and the breast implant replaces missing volume at the bottom of the breast – this is especially evident in the images with the arms up overhead. See the marks from an underwire bra where the breasts are not filling out the cup of the bra before surgery, but after surgery the breast is rounder and fuller at the bottom and a more aesthetic breast shape is created.
In these early postoperative photos, incisions are pink and fresh, as this patient lives out of town and scars are expected to look like this at 6 weeks. It takes up to a full year for all scars to mature and become faded, flat and soft.
