Before and after bilateral breast revision and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 65-year-old woman with Grade IV capsular contracture. Her thirty five-year-old implants had contracted and caused pain. An MRI confirmed they were ruptured, as is quite common for breast implants inserted in the 1980’s.
Her revision involved removal of her implants and a total capsulectomy to remove the thick, contracted, inflamed scar tissue. New smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position.
Liposuction permanently removed fat from her armpits and bra rolls. At the same procedure, the patient had a neck lift using the MACS lift technique. She took a full month off work and exercise after her procedures.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. She can already appreciate her results and loves her soft, mobile, more natural looking breasts!
