Before and after bilateral prophylactic nipple-sparing mastectomies and immediate breast implant reconstruction in a 47-year-old BRCA gene positive woman who did NOT want to develop breast cancer!  She also wanted to be reconstructed fuller than her preoperative breast size, viewing this surgery as a “win-win” and a Mommy Makeover in addition to a risk-reducing surgery.

At the same time as mastectomies with incisions hidden in her breast folds, smooth round saline-filled postoperative adjustable implants were placed and were inflated fuller than her natural breast size.  After they had been in place for several months, the saline implants were removed and replaced with permanent silicone gel implants.

A mastopexy lifted her nipples up to a slightly higher but natural position on her breasts.  Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls to complete the procedure.

Follow up photos are shown 4 years after surgery with a stable result and mature scars.
