Before and after labiaplasty in a 23-year-old woman. Her long labia minora tissue bothered her while exercising and made her feel self-conscious when she wore a bathing suit.
A labiaplasty trimmed excess labia minora using the “trim technique.” Another labiaplasty method called the “wedge technique” has been described, but this procedure does not address what really bothers our patients – the long, darkly pigmented and textured labia minora that hangs lower than the labia majora and that protrudes downwards, outside of the vaginal area.
Early follow up photos are shown just 3 weeks after surgery. She still has some surgical swelling, but she can already appreciate how her results are going to help her feel so much more comfortable!
