Before and after labiaplasty in a 47-year-old woman. At the same time as a Mommy Makeover procedure, she wanted to trim her long labia minora that hung out of her vaginal area whenever she stood up.
A labiaplasty used the “trim technique” to trim some of the darker-pigmented and irregularly textured labia minora, but it left a normal amount of labia tissue behind. This surgery was performed under general anesthesia, as her other procedures required her to go to sleep.
Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery. Note that the labia majora now just fall together and cover the labia, whereas previously the excess labia minora tissue pushed things open, adding to her self-consciousness.
