Before and after bilateral tubular breast correction using the auto-augmentation mastopexy technique with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 28-year-old woman. She wanted to preserve her breastfeeding ability and was delighted to learn that she should likely be able to nurse her future babies after this procedure since a robust blood supply, milk duct supply and nerve supply would be maintained to her nipple during surgery.
She always had a tubular breast shape, but after gaining and losing weight, her breasts hung even lower and lost their former structure and firmness. She did not want breast implants, or to be significantly bigger or smaller – only to have a more “normal” and round breast shape. An auto-augmentation mastopexy (also called a local tissue rearrangement) was an ideal procedure for her.
A breast lift removed excess skin and reshaped her breasts, moving it higher up on the chest into a pocket created on top of the muscle. Liposuction removed nearly a liter of excess fat from each armpit and bra roll.
Follow up photos are shown a year and a half after surgery. She feels wonderfully comfortable in her skin and is motivated to keep up her healthy lifestyle and maintain a healthy weight.
