Before and after bilateral mastopexy in a 67-year-old woman. With a history of a breast reduction many years ago, her breasts had grown in their size since menopause, creating shoulder grooves from the weight of her breasts and the action of gravity.
She recently had a lumpectomy which was benign but got her thinking about a breast lift. She was referred to us by her breast surgeon for a cosmetic mastopexy. Her goal was to have relief of the hanging nature of her breasts but to still look age appropriate.
A small breast reduction and mastopexy lifted and reshaped her breasts but kept her looking natural. Her nipples and areolas were purposely inset a little low, as per her request. Follow up photos are shown 8 months after surgery.
