Before and after bilateral breast augmentation in a 27-year-old woman. Her breasts had completely deflated after having children. She wanted her former fullness she had while breastfeeding back!
Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. Since she had a very physically active job, she took one week off work completely and three weeks on modified duties.
Follow up photos are shown 3 years after surgery, and the last image shows a long-term photo 15 years later! With age and weight gain, her breasts have become larger, but they have remained proportional to the rest of her body and increased curves.
She is relieved to be reminded that additional surgery is not needed every ten years after breast augmentation; instead, we will continue to follow up every few years and only plan surgery if she has a problem or wants a change.
