Before and after bilateral brachioplasty and liposuction of the arms in a 48-year-old woman. She had changed her lifestyle and was committed to getting and staying as healthy as possible after recovering from cancer – and with that change, she lost a significant amount of weight. Her arms became empty “bat wings” that limited her exercise and the ability to wear short sleeves.
A brachioplasty removed excess skin and fat from her upper inner arm. The actual tissue removed is shown in the last set of photos. Liposuction removed a liter of fat in total from her arms to complement the excisional surgery.
Follow up photos are shown 3 years after surgery. She rocks short sleeves now and feels comfortable wearing sleeveless tops, despite her scars.
