Before and after breast augmentation revision in a 23-year-old woman with asymmetry and deformity related to capsular contracture of her left breast implant and nipple height asymmetry that was not addressed by her former surgeon. She had a Snoopy deformity of the left breast due to superior malposition of the implant.
Her revision involved removal of her textured silicone implant – which was found to be ruptured, and which explained the cause of the contracture – cleaning out all foreign silicone material from the breast pocket, capsulectomy to remove scar tissue and reestablish a normal pocket, and insertion of a new smooth round silicone gel breast implant.
Her left nipple-areolar complex was also lifted via a crescentic incision above the nipple to create improved symmetry of her nipple height. Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery.
