Before and after bilateral breast augmentation revision with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 57-year-old woman. Her implants were under the muscle, causing a wide space between her breasts that became accentuated when she flexed her muscles. This is called an “animation deformity”.
Her revision involved removal of her old textured silicone implants, replacing her pectoralis major muscles to her chest wall and reconstructing her anatomy, and insertion of new smooth round silicone gel breast implants. Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and bra rolls.
Her animation deformity was eliminated immediately, and she loved the more natural look to her cleavage. Follow up photos are shown 2 months after surgery.
