Before and after bilateral breast reduction and lift in a 44-year-old woman with congenital breast asymmetry in addition to macromastia. She wanted her breasts to be significantly smaller and more symmetric.
A breast reduction removed two pounds from the right breast and three pounds from the left breast in a three-hour surgery. Her remaining breast tissue was rearranged and reshaped into a rounder breast shape that was also lifted up to lie higher up on her chest wall. Liposuction removed excess fat from her bra rolls and armpit regions, known as the axillary rolls.
Follow up photos are shown 4 months after surgery, with normal bright pink scars that will naturally fade over the next year. She is so much more comfortable exercising and feels a new degree of freedom, no longer needing to sleep with a bra on!
