Before and after liposuction of the neck in a 48-year-old woman. She was not ready for a neck lift, which might be in her future but at this stage in her life, she hoped to improve the contour of her neck with a more minor procedure.
Liposuction permanently removed excess fat from under her chin – this area is called the submental region. This procedure was performed in the office under local anesthesia. After surgery, she wore a compressive chin strap as much as she could for two weeks.
Follow up photos are shown 4 months after surgery with an improved jawline contour! She is grateful for her results – she no longer fixates on her neck when she is on video meetings with her clients.
