Before and after bilateral secondary breast reduction (redo breast reduction) and liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 41-year-old woman who lived outside of California. She had gained weight since her original breast reduction at age 17. She disliked how low her nipples were and the wide, boxy shape of her breasts – which were due to an inferior pedicle approach (older breast reduction technique).
She wanted a lift of her breasts and a less fatty bra roll but wished to stay proportional to the rest of her body. Her revision involved removing some excess fat at the bottom of her breasts and reshaping the remaining tissue, together with liposuction of the armpits and bra rolls.
After surgery, she took three weeks off work and stayed in the Bay Area for several in-person follow-up visits. Videos visits were arranged after that to teach her about scar therapy and evaluate her long-term results. Early follow up photos are shown one month after surgery before she left San Francisco for her home state. She is still healing and swollen – redness and puckering of her incisions will slowly resolve over the next several months.
