Before and after bilateral breast revision in a 46-year-old woman with submuscular cosmetic breast implants. They had contracted and moved further apart with time. She wanted a more natural looking and slightly fuller result.
Her revision involved removal of her old implants, replacement of the pectoralis major muscles to the chest wall, and insertion of new smooth round silicone gel breast implants on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. This corrected her animation deformity and capsular contracture.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery. You can see that when she flexes her chest muscles, she no longer has that wide space between her breasts. She is incredibly pleased with her results!
