Before and after bilateral breast revision in a 58-year-old patient. Her previously placed saline filled breast implants were under the muscle, causing them to sit wide on her chest. She disliked the way they moved into her armpits when she flexed her muscles, as shown in the first preoperative image. She wanted her breasts to be a little smaller and more natural looking.
Her breast revision involved removal of her saline breast implants, replacement of her pectoralis major muscles to her chest wall, and creation of a new pocket on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. Slightly smaller smooth round silicone gel breast implants were inserted, and liposuction debulked her bra roll and armpit region.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery.
