Before and after bilateral implant revision in a 69-year-old woman. Her previously placed breast implants were too big for her frame, contracted and sat up to high due to their submuscular placement. She wanted to keep an implant but have a more natural looking and proportional result.
Bilateral capsulectomy and implant exchange removed her larger implants, replaced her pectoralis major muscles to the chest wall, and inserted smaller smooth round silicone gel breast implants. Liposuction was also performed in the bra rolls, armpits (axillary rolls) and arms.
Follow up photos are shown 3 months after surgery. You can easily see a more natural shape to the breast when the implants are on top of the chest muscle, absence of an animation deformity, and a more proportional size for our patient!
