Before and after bilateral breast reduction in a 25-year-old woman. Her breasts were abundantly oversized, and her nipples were pointing to the floor – this is called “Grade III ptosis.” Ptosis (breast drooping), or the position of the nipple related to the rest of the breast, is rated out of three.
A breast reduction removed over two pounds of excess breast tissue from each breast. A proportional amount of breast tissue was preserved so that she remained in proportion to the rest of her body. Liposuction removed excess fat from her bra rolls and armpits – the axillary rolls.
Follow up photos are shown one year after surgery. She feels she has a new lease on life and has taken up competitive pickleball – and is working toward a championship trophy!
