Before and after mastopexy in a 46 year old woman. Her breasts had been perky until she had hormonal fluctuations associated with IVF and pregnancies. Afterwards, her breasts had lost their formerly pleasing shape and they drooped.
A breast lift using the “auto-augmentation” technique not only reshaped her breasts, but repositioned her breast tissue to a pocket higher up on her chest wall, as is done for a breast augmentation – except her own breast tissue was used to fill the pocket, rather than an implant.
Liposuction removed excess fat from her bra roll and armpits, known as the axillary rolls. Follow up photos are shown a year after surgery.
