Before and after bilateral breast reduction (minor) and breast lift (major!) in a 28 year old woman. She was getting ready for her wedding and was distraught that she could not find a wedding dress that would accommodate her large bust size.
Rather than getting an expensive custom-made top, she sought a breast reduction and lift three months before her wedding date. Her bachelorette party was over, the wedding fully planned – all she needed was to fit into her dream wedding dress!
She wanted to maintain significant fullness of her breasts and to remain proportional to her curvy frame. A breast reduction removed over two pounds of heavy, dense breast tissue but kept an appropriate amount of tissue behind. An “auto-augmentation” moved her breast tissue up higher on her chest wall to create a round, full breast shape that sat up higher on her chest.
Her wedding went well and she is now planning to start a family. She is relieved to hear that breastfeeding should indeed be a strong possibility. She promises to introduce us to her baby when it arrives!
Follow up photos with mature scars are shown two and a half years after surgery. She has gained some weight since her wedding but she remains in proportion to the rest of her body with a perky, lifted breast shape.
