Before and after breast lift using the auto-augmentation technique in a 34 year old woman. She had lost a significant amount of weight and with the weight, she lost the former fullness of her breasts. Although she had not had children, her breasts had the deflated and drooping appearance of many post-partum breasts. She felt strongly that she did not want an implant, but she wanted to have more fullness up top without needing to wear a bra at all times.
A mastopexy rearranged her breast tissue and relocated her natural volume to a pocket up created higher on her chest. Her nipples and areolas were lifted up subtly. Liposuction removed unwanted fat from her armpits and bra roll region – known as the axillary roll.
Follow up photos are shown 9 months after surgery. You can especially appreciate how her breast tissue is now higher up on the chest wall, like a breast augmentation – except we used her own breast tissue!
