Before and after breast reconstruction in a 57 year old breast cancer survivor. She previously had a right lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, which had significantly shrunken her right breast and created a firm, immobile result. Her bras always pulled to the left side due to her resultant breast asymmetry.
Her reconstruction involved "surface work" on her right breast - leaving the firm radiated breast tissue alone, but subtly lifitng the nipple and performing liposuction on the side of the right breast and the armpit area (axillary roll).
A balancing left breast reduction and lift created better symmetry to her breasts and allowed her to better fit bras and swimsuits. Follow up photos are shown 4 months after surgery.
