Before and after MACS neck lift/lower facelift in a 61 year old woman. Her neck did not match her age or youthful vitality; years of sun damage and genetics created an aged look to her neck.
A MACS lift resuspended her SMAS deep tissues of the lower face, trimmed some excess skin and redraped her jowls upwards. She did not want to “be pulled too tight” or for her results “to look obvious or weird” to others.
Follow up photos are shown 10 months after surgery. She feels like her neck looks natural but is dramatically improved. Her “marionette lines” are much softer (the lines extending downwards from the corners of the mouth).
At less than a year from surgery, she still has some numbness around her temple and cheek areas that will continue to resolve on its own. She is very happy with her decision to improve her neck!
