Before and after bilateral mastopexy and augmentation in a 35 year old mother of two with tubular breasts. She had considered an augmentation before having children but she waited until she was finished breastfeeding so she could combine a tummy tuck with her breast surgery = a Mommy Makeover.
Her breast augmentation involved placement of a smooth round silicone gel breast implant on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. The lift involved raising her nipples and areolas to a higher position on the breast. This step always involves the creation of additional incisions – in this case, a lollipop scar.
Liposuction of the axillary rolls (armpit fat) completed her breast rejuvenation. A tummy tuck and liposuction of her abdomen, flanks, pubic region and upper inner thighs was performed next to complete her Mommy Makeover.
Early follow up photos are shown just 6 weeks after surgery. Her right side is still slightly more swollen than the left, which has dropped and settled. It is common for the dominant side of the body to take a week or two longer to settle after breast surgery.
She is resuming light exercise now and is learning about scar therapy, which she will continue for 6-9 months.
