Before and after breast reduction and lift in a 41 year old woman. She felt her breasts had increased in size and drooped significantly after having children. She wanted to be able to run without pain and to not need to wear a bra. Ever!
A breast reduction removed heavy breast tissue from the bottoms and sides of her breasts. Her breast tissue was rearranged to be “high and tight” on her chest. Liposuction of the axillary rolls debulked her “side boob”.
Early follow up photos are shown just 8 weeks after surgery. She has started running wearing only ONE low support bra and is thrilled that she is still swollen. Firm areas of edema will continue to fade and go away over the next several months.
She has started scar therapy for her incisions which are pink and thick, with immature scar tissue. This type of immature collagen will gradually be replaced by mature collagen over the next year, which is paler, flatter and softer.
