Before and after explantation as a final breast revision in a 69 year old woman. She had undergone countless past breast surgeries for implants that continued to contract and cause deformity. She was finally ready to have them removed and to be “au naturel”.
Bilateral explantation (removal of the breast implants) was done under local anesthesia in the office. No drains were required, and she was amazed at how little discomfort she experienced.
It took her a couple of months to get used to her new (real) breasts, but she now feels extremely comfortable, natural and lighter! Follow up photos are shown six months after implant removal.
