Before and after redo breast reduction in a 41 year old woman. She previously had a breast reduction 10 years before, and never felt like she got the result she wanted.
She felt her breasts were still too big and out of proportion, she had enlarged areolas and significant asymmetry. It is rare to ever need to redo a breast reduction, but it certainly is a possibly if patients are not happy!
Additional breast tissue was removed from the heavy bottoms and sides of her breasts. Her areolas were made smaller and lifted. It is rare to be able to show such late follow up photos, but we have images from 9 years postoperatively!
At age 50 now, she has maintained her improved breast shape and symmetry, even nearly a decade later. She only wears light support sports bras or bralettes, instead of the former “torture garments” she previously wore. She is very happy her breasts are more proportional to her frame, and she is now a marathon runner!
