Before and after liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 61 year old woman. She was having a revision of her breast reconstruction and wanted to improve the appearance of her armpit area at the same time. She had very little body fat, but persistent fat collections in her axillary rolls that caused her to avoid wearing tank tops.
At the same time as her breast revision surgery, liposuction of the axillary rolls permanently removed fat from these areas. She had swelling and bruising of the area for two weeks, and wore a compression “bandeau” strap during this time to encourage her body to absorb the swelling more quickly.
Follow up photos are shown three months after surgery. This fat is gone forever, and she now never thinks twice about wearing a sleeveless top!
