Before and after bilateral mastectomy and TUG (inner thigh) free flap reconstruction in a 57 year old BRCA gene positive woman who had previously survived ovarian cancer and had a past lumpectomy and radiation on her left breast.
Her aesthetic goal was to have fuller, rounder, augmented-looking breasts as her “breast cancer and ovarian cancer double-whammy makeover”.
A two-stage procedure was planned, with prophylactic nipple-sparing mastectomies and TUG flaps performed first, and sub-flap breast implants at a second stage one year later. Follow up photos are shown six months after implant placement.
