Before and after bilateral cosmetic breast revision in a 56 year old woman with 30 year old breast implants. She previously had silicone gel breast implants placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position.
Her second generation implants had broken down ("ruptured"), with the silicone gel remaining in the capsule but with deformity related to capsular contracture.
The breast revision involved removal of the old implants, capsulectomy to clean up scar tissue, removal of all old silicone material, and replacement with the newest more cohesive gummy bear silicone breast implants.
Follow up photos are shown a year after surgery. She is happy to know that she will not likely need any more surgery, and is happy to have soft and symmetric breasts again!
