Before and after bilateral breast reconstruction revision and later nipple-areolar reconstruction in a 30-year-old breast cancer survivor. Her submuscular implants were tight and painful, and looked flattened due to their constant tension under her pectoralis muscles. You can guess that she is right-handed due to the higher position of her right implant.

She wanted to stay around the same size as her current implants, but to have relief of her symptoms and to look more natural. Using her existing scars, her old implants were removed, and her pectoralis major muscles were reconstructed, reattaching them to the ribs and sternum. New smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the prepectoral position.

Nipple reconstruction was performed using the local flap technique. At the same time, medical tattoo created two new areolar circles.
