Before and after bilateral breast revision with liposuction of the axillary rolls in a 59-year-old woman with contracted breast implants. She had deformity and pain at rest, which denotes Grade III and Grade IV capsular contracture.
Her revision involved removal of her old implants, capsulectomy to remove scar tissue, and placement of new smooth round silicone gel breast implants on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. Liposuction removed over a liter of excess fat from her bra rolls and armpits.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. She had immediate relief of her symptoms as soon as she awoke from surgery, and feels soft, natural looking and symmetric.
