Before and after bilateral breast revision in a 27 year old woman. She had a severe “Snoopy deformity” or “waterfall deformity” from “ptotic” (droopy) breast tissue that was hanging and falling off her breast implants that were surrounded by contracted scar tissue.
Bilateral capsulectomies removed excess scar tissue and opened up the implant pocket. Her old saline breast implants were removed and replaced with smooth round silicone gel breast implants. Her new implants remained on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position – however, they sat in a more natural and anatomic position.
The other major part of this revision was moving her breast tissue upward to sit over the implant in a higher location, rather than drooping off the implant like a Snoopy nose. A mastopexy or breast lift raised her nipple position, trimmed and tucked excess skin from the bottom of her breasts, like putting a dart in a dress to contour to the body form.
Follow up photos are shown 9 months after surgery. She has a much more youthful look and she no longer needs to wear a bra to get the look she is going for.
