Before and after bilateral explantation of silicone gel breast implants in a 26 year old woman. She had two prior breast augmentations and was dissatisfied with the size of her breasts, her asymmetry and feeling of heaviness.
Her implants were removed as an in-office procedure under local anesthesia. Breast implants aren’t for everyone, and sometimes styles or personal preferences change. After breast implant removal, she took one week off work and resumed exercise two weeks later.
Follow up photos are shown two months after surgery. Although she still has firm edema (tissue swelling and fluid engorgement) at the bottom of her breasts, she has greatly improved symmetry and she feels much more proportional to the rest of her body.
