Left nipple and areola reconstruction using the nipple and areola graft technique from the other breast. This patient had a left breast cancer and extremely heavy and pendulous breasts. She required a skin sparing mastectomy that took away the left nipple and areola.
A right breast reduction was performed at the same time as her mastectomy and immediate implant reconstruction on the left. An immediate nipple and areola reconstruction made use of extra areola skin from the right and a free nipple graft. Her donor nipple and areola is shown on the right, and the reconstructed nipple-areola complex on the left at one year after surgery.
