Before and after bilateral breast augmentation and left periareolar mastopexy in a 33-year-old woman. Her breasts had lost volume since breastfeeding her children, and she wanted the former fullness she experienced during nursing back. Her left breast lower pole was emptier and baggier than the other side, causing asymmetry.
Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position, through an incision hidden under her breast. An additional circular incision was made around the left areola to lift it up in line with the right nipple and areola.
Follow up photos are shown 6 months after surgery. Her implants feel “like part of her” now. She has the fullness she was going for and greatly improved symmetry.
