Before and after bilateral mastopexy (breast lift) and breast augmentation in a 54 year old woman. She had improved her diet and exercised more and had lost some weight. She noticed that her breasts felt and looked deflated, with less upper pole fullness and decreased overall perkiness.
Smooth round silicone gel breast implants were placed subglandularly, on top of the muscle. The breast implants restored volume to her breasts, primarily in the upper pole, and her nipples were lifted to a more youthful position on the breast. The breast lift also removed some baggy skin at the bottom of her breasts to “hug” the bottom of the breast in a more youthful way. Liposuction removed excess fat from her armpits and the bra roll, known as the “axillary roll”.
Follow up photos are shown six months after surgery. Her scars are pink as is normal for this stage of healing but have started to fade. She feels very comfortable in her skin and proportional to the rest of her body.
