Before and after breast augmentation, mastopexy (breast lift) and liposuction in a 44 year old woman who had deflated and droopy breasts after pregnancy, breast feeding and massive weight loss. Her breasts naturally had a tubular shape, with a wide space between them, drooping of her long, hanging breasts and significant fatty deposits in her armpit regions and back fat/bra roll.
Her surgery involved placement of a smooth round silicone gel breast implant on top of the muscle, in the subglandular position. The implant rounded out the bottom of the breast and changed the “breast footprint” to have more cleavage and a rounder, more aesthetic and natural shape.
Tubular breasts usually require this combination of procedures – an implant and a lift – to achieve a natural shape and improved appearance to the breasts.
A breast lift reduced the diameter of her areolas, lifted them and tucked redundant skin at the bottom of the breasts. Liposuction permanently removed unwanted fat from her armpit area and the sides of her breasts.
Follow up photos are shown nearly three months after surgery. She no longer needs to pad her bra to get the breast look she wants. She feels comfortable wearing tank tops without her “armpit boob” hanging out! Her bra band size has gone down 4 inches due to this fat removal!
She feels feminine and like her breasts are now how they always should have been. Over the next 6-9 months her scars will fade and her sensation will continue to return.
