Before and after bilateral explantation in a 49-year-old woman. Her implants had been in place for ten years, and after going through menopause, she felt that they no longer suited her conservative, athletic frame.
Both breast implants were removed in the office under local anesthesia. The breast is a naturally distensible organ (think about breastfeeding), so it was no surprise that after surgery, her breasts began contracting right away, assuming their former preoperative size and shape within several weeks.
Follow up photos are shown a year and a half after surgery.
